1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

TheFedScout is a federal contract intelligence platform that helps small businesses discover, track, and analyze U.S. government contracting opportunities. The Service aggregates publicly available data from SAM.gov and USASpending.gov.

TheFedScout is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of the U.S. federal government. All contract data should be verified independently on SAM.gov before relying on it for business decisions.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Keep your password secure and confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

TheFedScout offers Starter ($24.99/month), Pro ($74.99/month), and Team ($199.99/month) plans. All plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. No refunds are provided for partial months of service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Scrape or systematically extract data without written permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Resell or redistribute Service data without prior written authorization
Use the Service to submit false or fraudulent government contract bids
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and original content, is owned by TheFedScout. Data sourced from SAM.gov and USASpending.gov is publicly available U.S. government data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. CONTRACT DATA SHOULD ALWAYS BE VERIFIED ON SAM.GOV BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY BID OR PROPOSAL.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEFEDSCOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TheFedScout from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
